About the Department

            The Department of Agricultural Technology was established in RVS Polytechnic College, Sulur, Coimbatore in the year 2023, becoming the First Polytechnic College 3in Coimbatore to offer Three year diploma programme in Diploma Agricultural Engineering under Directorate of technical Education (DOTE). The programme is designed to provide students with practical training in the latest technologies in agricultural Technology. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and has qualified faculty and technical staff members. Hands on training on crop production using tractor operated farm implements is offered in the field. Our Students are undergoing internships and training’s in Farm machinery manufacturing industries, drip irrigation manufacturing companies, food processing Industries, dairies, renewable energy industries, etc. The Department intends to provide technical support to Farmers and Entrepreneurs to establish small scale industries.
